Holidays surrounded by vineyards and the Dolomites
Salorno/Pochi is in the resort area of Castelfeder, the southernmost part of South Tyrol, the area with most sunlight. It has an enviable position with unique views over the Etschtal, and also for the excursions along the numerous trails in the Monte Corno Nature Park. Our agritourism is the idea starting point for visits to the many attractions in the area, as well as for outings on foot or by bike.
The nearby Caldaro Lake is a great way to keep cool during the warm summer days.
Here, along the famous South Tyrolean Wine Route, surrounded by orchards and vineyards, you can enjoy some of the best wine and produce, visiting growers and wineries.
Our products and typical local produce
The farm produces and sells wine, apple juice, elderflower syrup, preserves, and fruit according to the season. The nearby Haderburg winery sells superior quality and organic wines and honey.
Our farm also grows some types of herbs.
Farming life
Those who want to experience life on the farm can accompany the owner on a day’s tour of the farm to see what goes on there. It starts in the vineyard and continues to the finished product, with tasting in the wine cellar to finish.
Sports and things to do in the area
There are various things to see and do in the immediate vicinity of the farmhouse: a visit to the town of Salorno (3 km), Haderburg castle (3.5 km), trekking up to the Sauk refuge (3 km), visit to the sculpture park (700 m), or the Durer trail (100 m). In summer, a great swim can be had at the lidos of Salorno (3 km), Lake Caldaro (20 km) and Lake Monticolo (25 km). In the winter, sports enthusiasts can enjoy easy access to the main ski resorts (downhill and crosscountry skiing), which are about 30-40 km away.
Festivals, traditions, and customs
One tradition is Salorno’s famous carnival, where pride of place goes to the dwarf, Perkeo, whose fun tricks need no colour or music to entertain his ever-increasing audience.
